This course will take a look at the ethical component of treating clients who have experienced domestic violence, as well as ways to navigate these challenges in a clinical setting.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to identify at least 3 common ethical concerns that arise in session when working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.

Participants will be able to identify special concerns relating to common ethical components of treatment: such as confidentiality & client autonomy.

Participants will be able to describe the implications and importance of ethical diagnosis when working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.
